Stephen Ministry

Under the leadership of Pastor Rachel and Lynn Striepe, Vibrant Family Pillar Leader, we are excited to launch Stephen Ministry. The Stephen Ministry model allows our church a way to better care for, connect with, and build relationships with individuals needing care, as the needs of a church of our size cannot be handled solely by professional clergy.

The purpose of this ministry area is to actively build a team to attract, nurture, and guide persons called to a ministry of inter-personal care and support. Using the model of Stephen Ministries, based in St. Louis, MO, our ministry team will be empowered to care for others and connect care-receives back into our church family. And, Stephen Ministry offers extensive specialized training for individuals serving on this team.

What is Stephen Ministry?

Stephen Ministry offers a proven and effective way to organize, equip, and supervise a team of congregation members to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to people in the congregation and the community experiencing life difficulties.

What is a Stephen Minister?

Stephen Ministers are lay congregation members trained to provide one-to-one care to those experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or relocation.
