As we seek to faithfully discern the future of our church’s ministry, we invite you to share your thoughts on an important matter currently under review by the Leadership Council: the possible extension of our wedding policy to encompass marriage ceremonies for our LGBTQ+ brothers and sisters in the church sanctuary, recognizing that they are already full members of the United Methodist Church.

Beginning Monday, February 3, 2025, and continuing through Monday, February 17, 2025, the FUMCWP Wedding Policy Task Force will hold one-on-one sessions for members to voice their perspectives. These sessions, lasting 30 minutes each, are designed to provide a safe and intentional space for open dialogue. Our listeners will share these discussions with our Leadership Council without any agenda.

You may choose to meet with a task force member either in person or virtually, depending on your preference. Your participation will help the Leadership Council make an informed and prayerful decision that reflects the heart of our congregation.
