Congregational Shelter Program

The Family Promise Congregational Shelter Program offers temporary housing for families transitioning out of homelessness. Families in the program stay for one week at a time in area churches while they secure permanent homes.  We are excited to host families on our Winter Park campus 4 weeks per year. Specific sign-ups will be available prior to each host week.

2026 Host Weeks:

  • February 1–8
  • April 26–May 3
  • July 26–August 2
  • November 29–December 6

Next Host Week: February 1-8, 2026

Due to ongoing maintenance in the Matthias Family Life Center, we will host Family Promise families at the Family Promise Day Center, February 1-8. Please plan to go to the Day Center if you have signed up to host, drop off a meal or support our host week in another way. Reach out to familypromise@fumcwp.org with questions or for more info. The address is 1000 Clay St. Winter Park, FL 32789.
