Childcare

Ours is the only site that consistently offers childcare. Each year, participants share how they would not be able to attend the class without this resource.  Join our childcare team to play, read and share dinner with 4-6 children of class participants.  Through age-appropriate activities, you will help children feel welcomed, allowing their parents to focus on class content. Your presence plays an essential role in removing barriers to participation and supporting the success of the entire family. Background Check and Youth Protection Training are required for all childcare volunteers. Youth volunteers age 15 and older are welcome!

Time Commitment: One or more evening shifts from 5:45pm-9pm.

Coach

Do you enjoy facilitating discussion and empowering others? Do you ask thoughtful questions and intuitively see the skills and talents of others? Coaches work with small groups throughout the 8 week class, offering encouragement, accountability, and practical guidance as they work toward career goals. A coach can also offer individual or small group sessions during one or two classes focused on resume building or interviewing.  Learning from one another is key in this role. You do not need to have all the answers— your consistent presence and encouragement can make a lasting difference.

Time Commitment: Tuesday evenings for the duration of the eight week class, 5:45pm-9pm.

Meals

Meals Volunteers will provide dinner for class during the fall session. A fun way to take on this role is to invite your Bible Study, Connect Group or Sunday School Class to coordinate a meal together. Meals can be made at home or ordered from a local restaurant. Typically, the meal volunteers also bring drinks and dessert.  Paper goods are provided by the class. You will set up the meal buffet style just prior to 6pm and help serve participants and volunteers from approximately 6pm-6:30pm.  Meals volunteers are invited and strongly encouraged to sit down and share the meal together after the class is served. This builds connection and hospitality, helping participants feel seen and valued from the moment they arrive. Volunteers may assist with cleanup as the class continues and prepare take home containers for leftovers.

Time Commitment: Meal prep time/order pick up time and a Tuesday evening during the fall session 5:30pm-8pm

Site Coordinator

Site Coordinators work with our partner churches to recruit and coordinate volunteers and ensure each weekly meeting runs smoothly in terms of A/V and room set-up, facility access, room clean-up and troubleshooting any needs that arise. You will serve as the primary point of communication for the church, volunteers, our two partner churches and Jobs Partnership. Site Coordinators will attend planning and follow-up meetings with Jobs Partnership staff and volunteers and are invited to monthly Christ-Like Servants pillar meetings and church leadership workshops. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys planning, organization, problem-solving and supporting volunteers in a class setting.

Time Commitment: Planning and follow-up meetings, weekly classes for 8 weeks, 5pm-9pm, one run through for staff and lead volunteers held the week before the first class, monthly pillar meetings and church leadership activities.

Facilitator

Facilitators share their particular expertise by leading a session that equips participants with valuable workplace and life skills. Presenters are invited to lead and facilitate a particular portion of the Jobs Partnership curriculum. Examples of curriculum topics are interviewing, financial literacy, communication, workplace expectations and career development. Your expertise and personal experiences can inspire participants while providing practical tools they can immediately apply in their job search. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy speaking, teaching, and facilitating adult learning.

Time Commitment: One or more Tuesday evenings during the fall class session.
