Join us on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, as we begin the Lenten season. On Ash Wednesday we are offered the opportunity to receive a cross of ashes on our foreheads. We are reminded of the Biblical passage, “You are dust and to dust you shall return” (Genesis 3:19). In the Bible, the imposition of ashes is associated with sorrow over sins.

Our Ash Wednesday Worship Service will be held at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. The service will also be livestreamed on the FUMCWP website, and nursery care will be available.

Additionally, join our Pastors at noon in the Marcy Chapel for a come-and-go time of prayer and the imposition of ashes—an opportunity to pause and receive this sacred symbol during your day.
