First United Methodist Church

Spring Serve Day - April 28

10am Worship | Service Projects to Follow

MAUNDY (HOLY) THURSDAY: April 6
7pm Contemporary, MFLC Gym

Maundy means “Mandate” and reflects the command that Jesus gave his disciples after he washed their feet, “Love one another just as I have loved you.” This gathering renews the importance of those words and draws us into what it truly means to follow Christ.

GOOD FRIDAY: April 7
7pm Traditional, Sanctuary

Revisit that infamous day when Jesus was crucified as the Chancel Choir and a full Orchestra present “Seven Last Words,” a music-driven Service of Darkness. This experience will challenge you to reconsider your response to Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice.

STATIONS OF HOPE: April 6 & 7
TH: 5-7pm & 8-9pm | F: 5-7pm, Fellowship Hall

Join us for a self-guided experience that follows Jesus to the Cross. Seven stations await your presence, each reminding you of a different factor in our Savior’s suffering and offering a prayer of reflection. Designed for those who seek a time to quietly contemplate the deeper meanings of Easter. This NEW experience is sponsored by Inua Partners In Hope!

EASTER: April 9 – 6:30am Sunrise (Lakefront Chapel) | 9am Contemporary (MFLC Gym) | 10am Fellowship & Refreshments (Courtyard) | 11am Traditional (Sanctuary)

Join our hearts in one accord to celebrate the Risen Lord! It’s the most joy-filled day on the Christian calendar and we encourage you to be a part of our on-campus celebrations. Exciting music and an engaging sermon help us rediscover how Jesus calls us to experience living.

Please note: Live-stream is available for all services except for Maundy Thursday & Easter Sunrise. You can view our live-stream here on our FUMCWP website. Nursery is available for all services except Easter Sunrise.
