First United Methodist Church

Service Times

9am Contemporary | 11am Traditional

PALM SUNDAY: April 10 – 9am Contemporary (MFLC Gym) | 11am Traditional (Sanctuary)

Join us as we commemorate Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem when the crowds waved palm branches and proclaimed him King of Kings. Learn why that is significant for us & how we, too, can sing, “Hosanna, blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

STATIONS OF THE CROSS: April 14 & 15
5-7pm & 8-9pm, Courtyard

Stations of the Cross is a self-guided walk-through experience that invites us into a deeper understanding of the sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross. This journey is available before and after our Holy Thursday and Good Friday services.

MAUNDY (HOLY) THURSDAY: April 14
7pm Contemporary, MFLC Gym

Maundy means “Mandate” and reflects the command that Jesus gave his disciples after he washed their feet, “Love one another just as I have loved you.” This gathering renews the importance of those words and draws us into what it truly means to follow Christ.

GOOD FRIDAY: April 15
7pm Traditional, Sanctuary

Revisit that infamous day when Jesus was crucified as the Chancel Choir and 18-piece Orchestra present “Last Words,” a music-driven Service of Darkness. This experience will challenge you to reconsider your response to Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice.

EASTER: April 17 – 6:30am Sunrise (Lakefront Chapel) | 9am Contemporary (MFLC Gym) | 11am Traditional (Sanctuary)

Join our hearts in one accord to celebrate the Risen Lord! It’s the most joy-filled day on the Christian calendar and we encourage you to be a part of our on-campus celebrations. Exciting music and an engaging sermon help us rediscover how Jesus calls us to experience living.

Please note: Nursery and live-stream are available at all services except for Easter Sunrise. You can view our live-stream here on our FUMCWP website.
