Elevate Student Ministries
There are many ways for parents and adults to be involved in Student Ministry. We are always looking for dedicated volunteers to join as…
- Bible Study Leaders
- Small Group Leaders
- Food Preparation Team Members
- Hospitality Team Members
- and Trip Chaperones
Adults do not need to be Biblical scholars- you just need a passion for students and willingness to allow God to use you in our ministry.

Part of our faith calls us to serve those that are in need in our community, in our country and around the world. ELEVATE Student Ministry provides awesome opportunities each year for all students to get involved, get connected, and to grow in their faith as a part of a mission trip. Below is a description of our Summer Mission Trips.
SOUL and S.S. Mission
SOUL (Serving Orlando with Unconditional Love) was created by ELEVATE Student Ministry in 2011. Students are given the opportunity to serve our local community through various organizations. During SOUL, the students plan and organize Vacation Bible School for the children of the Southstreet community during the mornings and take part in acts of service each afternoon. S.S. Mission gives students the opportunity to organize/run a Southstreet Day Camp and participate in various service projects in the community. The trips both takes place in Downtown Orlando at Southstreet Ministry and runs from Sunday evening to Friday evening. All rising 7th-12th grade students are encouraged to participate!
Stay at Home Work Camp at HEART

Every other year, our high school students are offered the opportunity to travel to Los Chiles, Costa Rica to participate in Agua Viva. Students are immersed in the culture of the community while participating in service through well building, home improvement and working with children. This trip is open to rising 10th-12th grade students.
Each year our IMPACT Singers raise money to go on a mission trip to a different city to sing, learn, and serve. Past trips have included: New York City, Baton Rouge and Chicago.
In Student Ministry, we believe that worship is an important part of our relationship with Christ. We encourage students to participate in worship on Sundays, whether through the Traditional Services (8:00am, 11:00am – Sanctuary) or Contemporary (9:30am – MFLC Gym). Students are also given the opportunity to worship at ELEVATE on Sunday Evenings.
Why We Exist
We hope to encourage each student to get to know and begin an intimate relationship with God that will last a lifetime. ELEVATE Student Ministry reaches middle and high school students and helps them:
- CONNECT through cultivating authentic relationships with God, ourselves and others.
- PARTICIPATE in small groups, worship and Bible study in order to awaken spiritually and personalize Biblical truths.
- MOVE from just learning about to living out the Gospel through discovery, development and practice of our spiritual gifts.
- FOLLOW Jesus Christ by SERVING our community and our world.
- GROW continually in faith by allowing the spirit of God to work, so that we may reflect the character of Christ.
Michael is a native of Boston, but has spent the majority of his life in Central Florida. He married his high school sweetheart Amanda and they have a puppy named Fatty Lumpkin. In May of 2016, they welcomed Annabelle Grace, their first child and they are thrilled with her! When he’s not working (at the greatest job in the world!), Michael loves to hike, rock climb, watch Netflix, do Cross Fit, and hang out with his wife and friends. He hates mayonnaise (don’t ask), was on Tosh.0 (please do ask), and he can’t hear out of one of his ears (ask, but do it loudly). Michael loves Jesus, and doing mission work!
